He is one of the most renowned and experienced pain physicians not only in Maharashtra, but all over India. After completing MD Anaesthesia from the prestigious BJ Medical College, Pune in the year 1982, he has been working relentlessly in the pain management field. He has a vast experience of 40 years and has treated over 50000 pain patients from all over the country. He has also been very active academically and participated as faculty in multiple national, international conferences, workshops & webinars. He has authored more than 20 chapters in national and international textbooks on pain management.
He has conducted multiple pain awareness programmes and webinars for medical students, post graduate doctors, paramedical staff & for people from all walks of life over the years. He has given live interviews and lectures for public awareness on pain management on various TV channels like DD, Alpha Marathi, Zee Marathi, Sahyadri etc.
He has written many pain related articles in many magazines, books and newspapers. He is founder president of Indian Society of Study of Pain, Pune, City, Branch. He has also worked as a committee member for more than 6 years in the national body of Indian society of Study of Pain. He is presently an Examiner and Program Director of Post Doctoral Chronic Pain Fellowship, Dr. D Y Patil Medical College & Hospital, Pune.

Dr. Archana has completed the Pain Fellowship at prestigious Daradia Pain Hospital at Kolkata. In addition, she has done the Fellowship in Nerve Blocks and Pain Management from the renowned Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Dr. Archana has been a faculty member at various conferences and workshops across various states in India. She has led numerous pain awareness programs for doctors and students in the medical college hospitals. She is also affiliated with various multispecialty hospitals in Pune these include, Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, Jupiter Hospital and Dr. D Y Patil Medical College Hospital.
